International Wire Transfers

As a member and shareholder of SWIFT (the secure global telecommunications network of international banks) UMB can help you expedite the movement of money overseas.

Due to time zone differences, the International Date Line and international currency settlement procedures, settlement of International Wire Transfers will take longer than domestic transfers. To expedite your outgoing wire transfers, determine the foreign currency amount due so you can remit in the currency of the recipient. You will also need to know the payee bank’s SWIFT address and the payee’s full account number. For payments to Europe, be sure you have the payee's IBAN number.
