Why did I get an overdraft charge on this date, when I made a deposit on that same date?
Overdraft/NSF charges are deducted from the account the next business day. So if an item was presented that created a negative balance, the Overdraft/NSF charge will show on your account the following day.

How do I pay my credit card bill online?
If you have a UMB Visa credit card, then you can pay it from your checking account or a non-UMB checking account that you setup as a pay or account. Simply click the Pay or Activity link next to your credit card account summary (in the Your Accounts view). You can choose a one-time payment or a regular automatic payment, whichever is most convenient for you.

What if my credit card gets lost or stolen?
If you have lost your credit card, call our 24-hour customer service center at 800.821.5184. This number is also printed on your monthly statements. We will cancel your card and send you a new one.

What if I want to dispute a charge on my credit card statement?
If you have a problem with the quality of property or services that you have purchased with your card, and you have tried in good faith to correct the problem with the merchant, call customer service at 800.821.5184.

Where do I send my credit card payments?
We offer several convenient ways for you to make your credit card payment:

  • Online
    • Through UMB online banking by transferring funds from your UMB checking account to your credit card account.
    • Through our online credit card site, Card Center Direct (cardcenterdirect.com). Card Center Direct is accessible through the “Account Sign In” drop down menu on the home page of umb.com.
  • Phone
    Contact our Service Center at 800.821.5184 and request a payment via our automated phone system.
  • Mail
    Mail your Visa credit card payment via regular mail to:

    Please include your credit card account number shown on your monthly billing statement. To obtain copy of your monthly billing statement, you may also visit the Statements page at Card Center Direct (cardcenterdirect.com) and click on the printer-friendly version of your statement.
  • Direct Pay
    Set up recurring automatic payments through our Direct Pay Service. Simply contact our Service Center to obtain the necessary paperwork. You may elect to set up automatic monthly payments to pay your balance in full or minimum due each month.

What is the difference between online banking and Card Center Direct?
Card Center Direct (cardcenterdirect.com) is our online credit card account management site. Card Center Direct, accessible through the “Account Sign In” drop down menu on the home page of umb.com, gives you the opportunity to view account balance, transaction history, reward points, download statements, enroll in paperless statements and make payments online.

UMB online banking allows you to view your checking accounts, download statements and history, manage statement delivery, make transfers or pay bills. In addition, we’ve recently enhanced online banking so that now UMB Visa credit cardholders can view their credit card account information within online banking and make a payment by transferring funds from your UMB checking account.

How do I request to no longer receive paper statements?
When you choose to receive e-statements, you no longer receive paper statements by postal mail.

How do I view my e-statement in online banking?
On the Your Accounts page, click the Statement link to see a list of available e-statements for that account. The statements will be in PDF format so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader on your Internet browser. If you do not have Adobe Reader, you can download one for free. In addition to viewing your e-statement online, you may also save it or print it.
