Direct Deposit and Routing Numbers
With the confidence of your funds being electronically deposited into your account, you don’t have to rely on paper checks to clear or make extra trips to the bank or ATM. By having your income deposited directly into your account, there are no checks to be lost or stolen.
Direct Deposit Examples:
- Employer Paychecks
- Military pay
- Social Security
- Interest or dividend payments
- Annual or semi-annual items
- Income tax refunds
- Government payments
To get started with Direct Deposit, you will need to contact your employer and any other direct deposit sources which can provide the paperwork and information needed to set it up. You will need to provide them with your Social Security number and typically a voided UMB check which contains our routing number.
The routing number is the first set of numbers made up of nine digits on the bottom left of your check. For reference, your account number is the set of numbers immediately following the routing number which contains the number of the check itself.
- UMB Routing number: 101000695
