    There are options available to waive service fees, and balances can be combined for qualifying business deposit accounts. You can read more about these options in the Business Checking Solutions Guide.

    UMB will provide your account number soon after your account is open.

    After you submit your application, UMB will send you a notice with your new account number. In some cases, we may ask for additional information about you or your business before we can complete the account opening process.

    In most cases, new UMB business customers will have online account access one business day after they open their accounts.

    Yes, as part of the account opening process you can request a debit card as well as make requests for authorized users. Additional debit cards needed after the account opening process can be requested in-person at a branch or by phone. 

    UMB takes your business account privacy and security very seriously. We require several steps to protect your information and provide you with a dependable online experience. This includes a temporary password for first-time users and a Secure Access Code when utilizing a new device or browser to access your account information. We also offer various tools to help you better protect your account. To access these tools and manage your options, go to Security Preferences in your UMB online banking account.

    For businesses and institutions who would like to open a new UMB account or update a current account, we are required to collect certain information about the owners/controllers of the company. Use the following links to review or complete your Beneficial Ownership Certification Requirements and the Politically Exposed Persons and Sanctions Screening (Optional).

    2. Essential Business Checking 0-100 transactions at $0.00, 101+ at $.40 each additional transaction – excludes received ACH debits and credits, bill pay debits, debit card transactions, and ATM transactions. 
    3. Advantage Business Checking 0-200 transactions at $0.00, 201+ at $.40 each additional transaction – excludes received ACH debits and credits, bill pay debits, debit card transactions, and ATM transactions. 
    4. Premier Business Checking 0-300 transactions at $0.00, 301+ at $.40 each additional transaction – excludes received ACH debits and credits, bill pay debits, debit card transactions, and ATM transactions.
